Students have earned a free dress day on Wednesday, March 28th.

This is a gift to our students and staff for today’s great performance during Active Shooter and Fire Drills.

There will be no school this Friday, March 30, 2018.

Please make note of following days that our campus will be closed due to STAAR testing. Students need to arrive to school no later that 7:55am

April 10 – 4th Grade writing & 5th Grade Math

April 11 – 5th Grade Reading

May 14 – 3rd, 4th Grade Math

May 15 – 3rd, 4th Grade Reading

May 16 – 5th Grade Science

Harmony School of Exploration is committed to our student’s safety and well-being. The information below lists policies and procedures that allow us to maintain student safety during arrival and dismissal time. Safety is a top priority; therefore, adult supervision will begin at 7:30 am. No Students are allowed before 7:30 am unless they are with a parent or guardian.

All vehicles should enter the school using the Greenfork street entrance. DO NOT turn onto Greenfork through the feeder/beltway. You will need to enter through the backside of the school building and stay in your vehicle at all times. Security guards will not allow parents to enter through Greenfork.  Only staff are allowed to enter through Feeder/Beltway.  The school gate will not open until 7:30 am. All students and parent/guardians must remain in their vehicle until Exploration staff members begin morning duty at 7:30 am.

 

Dear Parents,

The school will be closed in between 3/12/2018 – 3/16/2018  for Spring Break.

Classes will resume on Monday, March 19.

Daylight saving time will begin on Sunday, March 11.

Dear Prospective Parents

On Saturday, Feb 17th from 10:30-12:30 you can tour our school and visit classroom. You will also learn about our special programs department. 

Dear Parents,
If  your child/ren participated in the school Believe fundraiser, and you have their pink copy which was given to you after submitting the order, then please come to the front office and fill out a parent refund form to start the process of reimbursement. 

It is Harmony Public Schools policy that field trip chaperones must pass a background check. Please complete this process as soon as possible if you think you might be interested in chaperoning a field trip this Spring, as the background check process can take some time. You can follow the step by step guide to register for the background check through VOLY. Please reach out to your child’s homeroom teacher if you have any questions.

3. Once logged in, complete the Volunteer application form. Don’t forget to check off that you’re interested in field trips and select Harmony School of Exploration. Once complete click save at the bottom.

December is the Gifted/Talented (GT) nomination month for “All students.”  Any student who has not been tested this fall semester is eligible for nomination.  If you have any questions whether this program meets the needs of your child, please contact our GT Campus Coach. Parent and Teacher/Professional Nomination forms are available in the school’s front office.  In order to be considered for the identification process in the Spring Semester,  nomination forms MUST be turned in by the last instructional day of this semester, Wednesday, December 20th.

 

DA = District Assessment – test is created by central office and administered to 3rd -5th grade only. We will have closed campus, and therefore no visitors, from 8:00am-11:00am for testing.

12/11 – Writing 4th Grade

12/12 – Math  3rd-5th Grade

12/13 – Reading  3rd-5th Grade

12/14 – Science  3rd-5th Grade

12/15 – Social Studies  3rd-5th Grade
